3 minute read

When I was about eighteen years younger, my thinking seemed more 'pure' and sincere, perhaps even more evolved than it is now.

Everything then seemed mystical to my soul, and purity was sacred, even if it appears unfashionable today. I had extraordinary faith and dreamed of changing at least a part of humanity, just as others before me had first changed a few people and later much of humanity. During that period, even if only briefly, I had access to several revelations. They shaped the way I think now, and gave me the understanding that nothing is impossible. Without those experiences, I do not believe I would have understood this.

God is without limits, but our thinking can understand only limits, imprisonment and the rational. This is a necessary evil, because otherwise we could not understand the soul's evolution, and especially could not apply that understanding in practice to free the soul.

Your soul is free and perfect... You are simply not conscious of it. More than that, from birth until the body disappears, you will become increasingly sleepy, even a sleepwalker.

It is time to awaken and understand this, because the whole of existence conspires towards it through the sufferings imagined by your thought.

You have all the ingredients, and everything around you exists for you to be happy. Yet you dream that you are unhappy, that you need something and must struggle to obtain happiness. In reality, you need only remove the blinkers from your inner eye.

Everything around you is love... everything around you is happiness... you need only awaken and become conscious of it.

Eighteen years ago, and therefore eleven to thirteen years ago as well, I would have possessed the mad courage to awaken the sleepers around me. I would have dared to assume that responsibility, because I knew it was possible and that, if I loved my fellow human beings, it was my duty to do it. Later I saw that all those before me, including some who had been conscious and awake from birth, had still achieved very little. I panicked and closed within me the gates towards the liberation and awakening of other souls. I left only a finger pointing towards the moon: the book Hearts of Love.

I have experienced many disappointments since then, or rather many so-called disappointments. This made me appear pessimistic to others as they struggled in the mire of competition and domination over those with weaker spirits. I saw myself, however, as a pessimistic optimist. I have still not stopped 'dreaming' that one day a new generation will awaken weary souls from the misery of our existence, even through these courses, which can be applied both to business and to the liberation of our souls from the slavery of thought.

I dedicate this article to the 'child' I was at eighteen, who wondered whether the person I would become years later would still respect what he thought then, or would say, as others did, that he had merely been a thoughtless child, or, worse, would wish to be as he was then but with the mind he has now. My thinking did not change, either then or now. Only the experiences I passed through became different and numerous. Perhaps they were not as painful to thought as that earlier period, but they were painful to the heart, which affected me more and gave me the optimistic pessimism of the mind I have today.
