Ignorance: A Blessing for the Soul?

In my ignorance, I always hoped the world would be different, that it would choose beautiful things possessing value for the soul.

With every passing day, however, I understand more clearly that this is a dream the world does not want.

The world wants the soul to suffer. The difficulty is that, in this way, every soul suffers.

The whole world likes suffering because it is the condition humanity has known since the beginning.

Ecstasy and happiness are only dreams lived by those who begin a religious path and seek and love God.

Love is not accepted within the world. It is regarded merely as one feeling among others, something far too ordinary. People believe it creates suffering because it refuses to submit to the human ego.

For me, this means that the world has lost, and continues losing with every passing day, its contact with divinity and with whatever makes our souls happy.
