Follow your dream... make your dream real!

The true dream is given by the heart, while the illusory dream is most often given by thought. The dream given by the heart stands at the very edge of the impossible; the one given by thought will require willpower and patience.

The dream of the heart seeks the fulfilment of the soul, while the dream of thought seeks material achievement. One will bring true happiness; the other, a happiness that passes.

But what does the realisation of our dreams depend upon, whether those dreams are fleeting or meant for eternity?

The path each of us will follow in life is written into our code: whether we will become the mentor of someone important to humanity and its evolution, or sacrifice ourselves so that others may offer a path to the generations that follow.

Older generations have always considered the generations to come incapable of living. The young do not respect traditions, they live without respecting life, and prejudices become almost non-existent from one generation to the next. Yet without this, they could not change the world. Women would still have no rights, and people's rights would still depend upon colour, race, nationality and several hundred other absurdities that the evolution of society has gradually erased.

Even a thriving forest contains deadwood, but what has no value will gradually disappear - unless it is useful for making a fire, which at least offers a certain advantage. I trust future generations because they will bring the change that older generations could not accomplish, even though visionary voices have always made themselves heard and may have guided, or may still be guiding, both the present and the future.

This power to change comes from within each of us and is nourished by love, at a greater or lesser level, because love is the source of our feelings. We all possess the potential to raise love to a divine level; whether we do so depends only upon us. We may encounter obstacles throughout our lives as we try to lift the soul towards this awareness, but even if it proves harder to achieve in the outer world, we must at least struggle for it within.

I have always wondered what my dream is, or what it was meant to be in this life. Yet my dream was realised long ago, and now I must find a way to offer it to others. Once, I tried to run away. I wanted to become a hermit and withdraw from the world because, in its midst, I feel that something is not right. Eventually, I understood that I cannot flee what has been given to me. It is genuinely difficult for me to mingle with the crowd, but it is a necessary evil. Otherwise, I will be unable to communicate anything of what I have lived.

The future will no longer resemble the society of today. The signs are visible throughout the world and within the society in which we live. Every grain of sand in the hourglass of life - every soul - matters upon this earth. Each person plays the role allotted to them in this society, but the time will come when the world awakens and people begin to think about benefiting the communities in which they live, rather than remaining selfish.

The wealth of some is built upon the backs and foolishness of others. What would it mean if everyone were rich? Some people are endowed with greater intelligence, others with greater strength, and others with luck, but all are endowed spiritually. We need only awaken from sleep, and suffering and crisis are preparing us for precisely this.

Humanity has always dreamed of a society in which resources are shared and wealth belongs to the community rather than the individual. Yet such a society cannot be created without knowledge of the soul and devotion to infinite and absolute love, because humanity is ill. How can the sick guide other sick people?

Only a person whose soul is healthy and pure will be able to advance the evolution of our present society. Whether we must pass through terrible suffering before this can happen depends upon us. The sooner we awaken, the less we will suffer.

The first step towards knowing the soul is offered by the Prayer of the Heart. You do not need to search for answers, believe in a particular religion or travel to every corner of the universe to find God. Through continuous prayer and silence, you will find God within. Once you have found Him, everything will be built upon that foundation, and everything you create will be unique and will help the world in which we live to evolve.

The Prayer of the Heart already exists within many people who do not know it, because it does not mean only repeating certain words from moment to moment. Above all, it is the lived experience carried within. Many of us possess a lived experience through which we perform miracles everywhere around us, whether in the material realm or in the soul.

If your dream brings you fulfilment and happiness, and especially if it helps people and the world in which you live become kinder and more loving, then the sacrifice you make, or will make, is worthwhile. If it does not, it is still not too late to look within and ask whether you have forgotten something.
