3 minute read
A moment comes in your life when love appears. Whatever the consequences, obstacles, thoughts or madness around you, love still more.
Then comes the question: how much?
And the answer must be equal to it: without limit. Love until you feel everything burning, within and outside. Devotion to the lived experience of love is the only path by which you can free yourself from the slavery of existence and be at the breast of divinity.
There, beside the angels, you may give thanks to God and unite with God forever. This is how the soul returns home, to the kingdom destined for it since the beginning of Creation.
It is a very difficult road, perhaps an impossible one, yet it is the only path by which you can give meaning to your existence and feel fulfilled and happy within this world.
One of my friends - I have very few - asked me a question. My answer deserves to be made clear here because it may help anyone who will one day believe in and accept Absolute and Infinite Love and its reflection within ordinary human love.
The question was roughly this:
How can someone keep love for the beloved awake when they have never felt the madness and passion of love towards the person with whom they have lived for many years? How can they make that love grow, especially when the beloved gives far more love than they have offered in return?
Yes... it is a long, tangled question, filled with the turmoil created by unfulfilled dreams, the madness of the world in which we live and our inability to be satisfied with little. The tragedy or drama of souls is that abundance does not satisfy us either or calm our inner agitation concerning material or professional achievement.
I believe such questions arise only within people inclined towards inner experience. Their soul has begun to feel its own existence, which is reflected both in their thinking and their actions.
Yet they remain blinded by the desire for material and professional success. They believe the "inner hunger" that leaves them unfulfilled is caused by their failure to achieve outwardly. In truth, it is the soul's hunger for liberation and for whatever makes it happy. This is how the inner search begins.
I answered the question, and in doing so I made clear what must be understood from everything I have said about the lived experience of love:
No one - absolutely no one - can keep love for an ordinary human being awake, or truly experience the passion of love, unless they see within what they feel, even if it is a weak lived experience, or so they believe, the reflection of Absolute and Infinite Love. They must perceive the divine within the lived experience of love.
Otherwise, they will believe the other person is at fault, when the real fault lies precisely in their own perception of and devotion to the lived experience of love. If you treat love as something ordinary, it is natural to believe there is nothing divine within the lived experience of it.
You will then make those who love you suffer. You will mistakenly believe that encountering passion elsewhere will be different from the love you knew before. You will probably suffer more, learn to respect what you lived before and understand your mistake. Most often, it will be too late for even what you had to return to your life.
These are the severe lessons love gives in order to awaken your soul. If you do not awaken, your life will become nothing but torment.
